Bringing knowledge back home
This site is to help reinforce what students learn at school back at home. Your child is learning about organ donation and transplantation at school. It is important that students can talk about this important topic with their family members in a safe environment. Be sure to click on the student’s portal and go through the DonorFacts curriculum.
Your student’s teacher may send your child home with a worksheet or assignment. Be sure to discuss the assignment with your child.
In the last module of Donor facts there is a section called discussion starters. These statements can help facilitate a conversation between you and your child. Click on the button below to take you to the page.
Some of the activities ask for your child to go online to find the information about transplantation and donation where they live. Such as waiting times for specific organs. Depending on where you live, different rules and regulations apply regarding the choices you and your family can make regarding organ donation.
